Design & Manufacture

Digital

Adglow have worked with many of the high street brands supplying eye catching designs, manufactured in multiple materials, and installed to tight deadlines to the highest standards.

Online shopping is forcing the high street stores to come up with more creative solutions to attract the customers away from the ease and convenience of the internet.

The uses of interactive and modern displays are the latest weapons deployed to provide a shopping experience you cannot get online. The uses of digital displays help immerse the customer in a new type of shopping experience.

By adding and incorporating digital displays, stores can capture passing trade in more creative ways that really show off the product, as well as providing a stand-out display inside the store.

Apart from interactive displays where customers can take control and find out details about the product there is also an increase in video or slide show type displays that attract you to the product and present information to gain your interest in a particular product.

When considering a digital display for your product, you need to ensure you are aware of the requirements:

Digital Display FAQs

Almost any size screen or number of screens are available, but its important that the screen does not over power the stand, product or brand. It’s function is to aid customers on the purchase path, not distract from the product.
There are many ways to use your display, be it a video playing, some scrolling images, or a fully interactive display where the customer takes control, stands on, or actually use the product demo itself. Careful consideration needs to be taken at this stage as this will impact the final design, lead time and cost of the stand.
This may sound a simple question, but again, needs careful consideration. You may go for the easy option of mains supply, but it may be difficult to supply power where you need it, and there may be additional installation and running costs. If your stand shows a video, or slide show, you may be able to use battery power along with a motion detection solution, where it only plays “on-demand”.
If you are considering displaying information that changes frequently, or special offers, you may decide that the internet is the answer. This will enable you to make changes to the presentation without having to visit the store. This also requires special technical consideration, so that any technical issues have been catered for and support is available to resolve any issues.
Security is also a requirement, as the physical security may present a risk to your product along with technical security requirements such as access control, WI-FI and internet access and the security of the content being displayed against hackers.
Careful planning as to where your display will actually be seen needs consideration so you can ensure that its shown in the best possible way, such as away from direct sunlight or reflections which would only prevent customers viewing your display.
While you need to be one step ahead of the competition, you also need to be aware of the risks in utilising the latest technology. You may go for some scanning functionality where you can get further product information, or launch something via a bar code, but what if this fails?

Additionally, you may decide to employ augmented reality, which is very impressive and will ensure you stand out from the crowd, hopefully for the right reasons, and not because you have a technical failure. You need to ensure you have reviewed the technical support requirements to ensure your display is always available to your customers.

We take all these points into consideration when reviewing your requirements, budget, time scale and quantity. We then move to the creative process to come up with the best design to promote your product and improve sales.
